Fun with Flatbread!

Hey there everyone!
After our 5 episode Summer of SWAG, I'm excited to announce that SWAGourmet! is now in its second season! In the first episode of season 2, I'm having some fun with flatbread! I'm taking you to India and Mexico, showing you how to make two SWAG recipes using Indian Naan bread and tortillas. With the Naan bread, I'm making a Flatbread Pizza using fresh ingredients like tomatoes, spinach, a homemade tomato sauce containing silky smooth goat cheese, and topped with other gooey cheeses like mozzarella and provolone! The beauty of this pizza is that it's so simple (honestly, you don't need specific measurements for any of the ingredients, though I did put a few for your convenience), yet all of the ingredients come together to form a perfect Indian-Italian Pizza. So give Episode 6, Part 1 (above) a watch, then give the recipe a try- you'll never have to go to a pizzeria again! I've posted the recipe below also:

Indian Naan Bread Pizza

Ingredients:

2 pieces of Naan flatbread

Sauce:
1 can of plain tomato sauce
Salt/pepper to taste
2 tsp. garlic Powder
2 tsp. dried basil
2 tsp. dried oregano
4 tbsp. goat cheese

Toppings:
Shredded mozzarella cheese
Fresh spinach leaves, torn

2 tomatoes, sliced
1 onion, sliced
Sliced provolone cheese
Grated parmesan cheese
Drizzle of olive oil

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together all of the ingredients for the sauce. Be sure to whisk in the goat cheese thoroughly!
3. Spread the sauce on the Naan bread, leaving a few centimeters around the edges as crust.
4. Add the mozzarella cheese on top of the sauce, covering the sauce with lots of cheese!
5. Top the pizzas with the spinach, tomatoes, and onions, then add the slices of provolone cheese on top, to cover the veggies.
6. Grate a generous amount of parmesan cheese on top, then drizzle with olive oil so the Naan bread will get nice and crispy in the oven!
7. Bake the pizzas in the oven for 20 minutes, then pull them out and let the pizza party begin!
